Growing Through Challenges
Despite the challenges of a rapidly changing world, Smart Electrical Installations Ltd continued to grow, employing six staff members by the end of 2020. Further strategic growth plans were set, focusing on developing a company large enough to service the requirements of a growing customer base whilst maintaining an inclusive approach to all employees and the development of the team.
2021

From January 2021, Steve and Tim began implementing strategic growth plans. This included:

The company began to gain traction on larger projects and established a strong reputation for reliability, transparency, and high-quality workmanship.
2022 - 2025
The Evolution of Smart
By 2025, Smart Electrical Installations Ltd has grown to 20 employees, delivering services across industrial, commercial, and residential sectors. The company implemented the use of a job management system to further streamline its operations and increase efficiency. Became members of the Electrical Contractors Association, Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce and joined forces with Peninsula UK for HR/Health and safety support, highlighting our commitment to health and safety, the local community, electrical safety and our employees.
To meet wider client needs, Steve and Tim launched Smart 360 Group Ltd, bringing specialist services together:

Additionally, there are plans to integrate more specialist companies from the building services sector into the Smart 360 Group.
2018
Humble Beginnings
Smart Electrical Installations Ltd was established in 2018 by Steve Gibbons, built on a vision of delivering high-quality electrical solutions with a people-first approach. From the outset, the focus was on setting new standards for reliability, safety, and craftsmanship within the industry.
2019
A True Partnership
Steve joined forces with long-time friend and industry professional Tim Higgins. Having known each other since 2003, the pair brought together years of experience from working on diverse projects across the commercial, industrial, and domestic sectors. Their shared values of honesty, transparency and an open approach coupled with their commitment to quality and collaboration laid the foundation for the company’s continued growth and reputation today.
